CleanMeet – BEST For Energy Project Organized B2B Meetings at Antalya EIF World Energy Congress and Expo

İzmir, the capital of wind, is rapidly coming into prominence with its companies that produce equipment and provide services in the fields of solar, biomass, and geothermal energy. İzmir, where many international companies have production facilities in clean energy equipment and services, is starting to show its influence in the international arena with its exports in this field. Works to establish the "Renewable Energy Equipment and Service Exporters' Association" are being carried out rapidly by the Aegean Exporters' Associations.

In line with this purpose, the first of the 4 Clean Meeting events to be organized within BEST For Energy Project carried out by İzmir Development Agency and ENSİA was held in Antalya between 13-15 October, 2011 at the 14th EIF World Energy Congress and Expo. Twenty companies that produce equipment and provide services to the clean energy sector in İzmir and its surroundings and 64 companies from abroad participated in B2B meetings with the theme of "Clean Meet." Thus new international connections will begin with the business meetings held within the event.

Stating that the event was very productive, Energy Industrialists and Businessmen Association President Alper Kalaycı noted that in addition to the business meetings held by the companies, they had many corporate meetings and established new connections for international cooperation in the coming period.

İzmir Development Agency Investment Support Office Coordinator H.İ. Murat ÇELİK stated that the high interest of companies in the activities carried out within the project motivates İzmir Development Agency to work harder for the development of the sector.
